Event 3: Leonardo Art Scicne Evening Rendezvous (Laser) David Artel + Symrin Chawla

When I attended this event I was somewhat surprise by the amount of young individuals that attended the event. I was shocked because the last event I attended, most of the individuals were of an older age. The topic that caught my attention was "Art Installation" one of the speakers purpose was how can the ceiling change in shape, how buildings can be brought to life. This is  very interesting because in Anthropology we study how materials can  tell us the life if humans in the past. We somewhat bring the past to life with the study and reassembly of pottery, mines, buildings and sites.
The speaker stated that she uses sensory technology in order to sense the eye son individuals. Like the speaker anthropologists use technology. However, we use it to reconstruct the faces and bodies of the bones that we find. Overall I had a very good experience in at this event. It made think that for my finals paper/ project I would like to use technology, death, and the study of humans. Perhaps the effects of technology and  how it can help people recover from a families's members death. Perhaps technology can help individuals to overcome sadness. In conclusion, this event made me realize that I really want to use technology and anthropology, I want to combine these two topics.

Week 7: Neuroscience and Art  As an Anthropology Major neuroscience is something that we do not study in my field. However, we do somewhat study art and the different forms of it in each culture. In addition, we also learn to understand why a person thinks the way they dory studying their culture, their economic status and their environment. Like anthropologist who studies an an individuals background; neuroscience can help us understand why a person interprets something different from others. By studying their brain scans neuroscientists can somewhat get an understanding of what is going on. In addition, Neuroscience can also can also be interpreted as a form of art. Week 2: Math, Nature, and Art       As a child I always wanted to be a Math teacher. Coincidently, I was a horrible art student that would rather be doing word problems than drawing . My calculus teacher would always tell me “Math is everywhere! You literally are doing math and don’t even know it”(Martha Mata 2012).  However, as young child I remember the countless hours I would spent drawing and coloring. It is only with Richard Buckminster’ concept of de-genuises that I understood what happened to that young child that loved drawing. According to Buckminster “ every single one of us has a genius inside of us”(Lecture 2- Art). Therefore, anyone can be a mathematician or an artist.
